Continuing with the subject of Project Management, of Master in Free Software, we are reading the book “Producing Open Source Software – How to Run a Successful Free Software Project” by Karl Fogel, available under a Creative Commons CC-BY-SA.
In my first assault with this book, I can see some interesting things on my opinion, in the first place that can serve as a guide for anyone, not just for people who have great expertise in development or on the free software world, this is no longer a requirement since it provides a brief introduction, setting out a simple way that is free software and outline its origins.
Only to arouse the interest of others cite the following sentence to make way for the following chapters:
“Free software is a culture by choice. To Operate successfully in it, You Have to Understand Why People Choose To Be in it in the first place. Coercive Techniques do not work.”
